Ilknur Boray (Secretary) has been an active volunteer in the Turkish-American community of Washington, DC, along with her late husband Yavuz Boray, since moving to the area as college students in 1977. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Applied Fine Arts Academy in Istanbul, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Classical Ballet from Istanbul Conservatory, and a Master of Arts degree from George Washington University School of Art & Sciences in Washington, DC. Professionally, she worked as the Executive Secretary of Assembly of Turkish American Associations, managed catering firms, has taught art classes for all ages, and was an adjunct professor of Fine Arts. As a volunteer, she was a member of the ATA-DC Board of Directors, teacher and member of the ATA- DC Turkish Folk dance group, producer and host of Turkish Radio Hour for ATA-DC, member of the Turkish community theatre group, and producer and host of  the “Turkish Hour” TV show . She has a daughter and a son, and three grandchildren.
